New IT Resources for Barbuda

Today, the UPP Government announced that the Barbuda Council is the recipient of four high-speed, fully loaded HP laptops. According to Barbuda Council Chairman Kelvin Punter, the new laptops will strengthen the IT infrastructure and boost the efficiency of the Council's operations. Minister Edmond Mansoor:

These four laptops are a further demonstration of the strong commitment of the Office of the Prime Minister, which has responsibility for Barbuda Affairs, to strengthening the links between Antigua and Barbuda.

The IT Revolution has impacted over 85% of the operations of Central Government in Antigua. The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications, Science and Technology has already commissioned a Community Computer Access Centre at the Holy Trinity School. So the IT boost to the Barbuda Council is another important step in the digitization of Barbuda. The Member of Parliament for Barbuda, Honourable Trevor Walker, has persistently lobbied the Ministry for more technology for Barbuda, and I am pleased that we have been able to facilitate his requests.

The UPP Government continues to invest in providing the people of Antigua & Barbuda with 21st century technology.
