ALP Give Away More Than 3,000 Duty Free Concession In 6 weeks

Another corruption scandal has hit the already shady camp of the Lester Bird regime, as documents proved that within six weeks preceding the 2004 general elections thousands of duty free warrants for motor vehicles were callously distributed.

Party Chairman Leon Chaku Symister revealed that in a flagrant demonstration of the wholesale bribery, the cabinet over which Lester Bird presided approved and issued over 3,000 duty free warrants for motor vehicles which equates to (1) duty free every 15 minutes for 6 weeks.

On January 26th, 2009, Lester Bird during his weekly statement accused the UPP of ‘wantonly signing away duty free concessions and the doling out of marijuana to youths for vote.”

The UPP has categorically denied any engagement in the exchange of duty free for votes. In fact, that is the modus operandi of the ALP.

The ALP leader says that “It is alleged that some politicians are doling out marijuana as well to younger voters.”

That reference to youths and drugs immediately brings to mind the well publicized alleged involvement of Lester Bird and a young, teen –aged girl.
Additionally, it is public knowledge that the Alp chief mouthpiece, JTR was convicted for drug trafficking, so too was Ivor Bird one of Lester Bird’s brothers. It was Lester Bird himself who told the nation that he (Lester) knew where all the drug dealers in Antigua lived.

As Lester Bird, continue to look in the mirror back to front, examinations of his statements have revealed continuously that Lester Bird is out of touch with the either “ Truth or facts”. He has no rationale policy and no connection with reality.
