Your UPP Government is committed to “Putting People First”, especially mothers,
the nurturers and protectors of the country’s future - our children. Since 2004, the UPP has been putting programmes in place to help our mothers, and all Antiguan & Barbudan women, progress on the Right Track and in the Right Direction.
Nobody has done better, nobody has done more to ease the burden of our nation’s mothers:

- Single mothers trained and empowered to run small and micro enterprises.

- No tax on baby food and baby supplies.
- Free school meals and school uniform grants helping mothers meet their child’s educational and nutritional needs
- Property transfer tax to spouse down from 10% to 2%
- Baby and child care facilities will be refurbished by the UPP
